Zella Maxine Briggs Perrenoud,95, passed away on June 26, 2020 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on January 21, 1925 to Lester Luke Briggs and Mary Lilly Bayliff in Archer, Idaho. She married Keith H. Perrenoud on January 21, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their first home in Rexburg, Idaho. Subsequently, they moved to Price, Utah where they lived for four years. They then moved to American Fork, Utah, where they raised their children and lived for over fifty years.
Zella was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, fulfilling many callings throughout her life, most recently as a temple worker. Zella enjoyed family history and temple work, traveling, spoiling her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was athletic as a young adult and loved playing sports with her grandchildren. Zella received a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University in 1972, and started working on her Master's Degree in Library Administration that same year. Zella remained a lifetime Cougar fan. She was an elementary school teacher with the Alpine School District for almost 20 years, and loved teaching and working with her students. She was also the media coordinator for the school district for a few years
Survivors include her two daughters: Carie Jean Johnson, Tamra (David) Sorensen, 7 grandchildren: Jerilyn, Ryan, Sarah, Christian, Kathryn, Maranda and Travis, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a brother, Ernest (Junene) Briggs, and her sister-in-law, Gae Briggs. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son-in-law LeRoy A. Johnson, and three brothers and three sisters.
A private, invitation only funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 1st from 6-8 pm at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.
