Willard Starr

Willard Gene Starr, 87 of Willits, CA passed away November 29, 2014 in Lehi, Utah. Born October 30, 1927 in Everett, Washington the son of Louis Haven and Ida Mae Rowley Starr. He Married Barbara Jean Stout February 21, 1974 in Orange, California.
Gene graduated from USC with a Master's degree in education. He spent 40 years in school administration in Southern California and abroad.
He was a member of the LDS church where he served as a Bishop, a Counselor, High Priest Group leader, High councilman, Young Men's President and Nursery Leader. He was a Veteran of the Army and the Merchant Marines.
Survivors include his wife Barbara, his children: Gary (Katie Sloan) Starr; Beverly (Patrick) Kruegel; Dana (Phillip) Eads; Arlo (Monica Lucero) Starr; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Mae Avilla.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Highland 13 th Ward, 5848 West 11000 North, Highland. Burial in the Highland cemetery under the direction of Anderson Sons Mortuary Lone Peak Chapel. Please share a memory or condolence at andersonmortuary.com
