Wayne D Mills, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed away peacefully, at the age of 83, on June 9, 2019 in Provo, UT.
Wayne was born on May 15, 1936 in Roosevelt, UT to Loren and Violet Mills. He was raised in the small town of Neola, UT. He was an exceptional student and graduated as class Valedictorian. He was an extremely talented and passionate carpenter, and he even built his Father’s General Store, which still stands today. Wayne went on to be one the best Homebuilders in Utah County, where he built over 600 homes.
Wayne married the love of his life, Betty Ann Walberg, on September 1, 1956. They built a wonderful life together, along with their 3 daughters Adele, Cindy, and Sheila. They spent much of their time in the great outdoors, whether that be boating and skiing at Lake Powell, camping and fishing up in the mountains, or family BBQs at their beautiful property in Alpine.
He is survived by his daughters Adele M Hall, Cindy Kay Cooper and Sheila Marie Mills, 6 Grandchildren Hillary(Brent) Colby, Amberly(Joey) Willis, Kyle Gunter, Chelsea Hall, Courtney(Regan) Spencer, Caitlyn Moffitt, and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mills, his parents, Loren and Violet Mills, and his siblings, Shirley Mills, June King, Clair Mills, and Louise Davis.
Wayne lived a truly amazing life with many accomplishments and adventures. He enriched and blessed the lives of all that knew him, and he will be dearly missed. He is now dancing in Heaven with his love, Betty. ‘Til we meet again, thank you for the memories.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the services. Burial will be held in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 500 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
