Trevor, a resident of Highland, Utah, and formerly of Tooele, Utah, tragically passed away on March 27, 2025, in Highland. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in January, of which he had not fully recovered.
Trevor was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved with his family to Otis Orchards, Washington when he was ten years old. He was the sixth child in a family of seven children. Trevor adored playing soccer with his older brothers and loved being creative with his younger sister. Jumping on the trampoline and having tickle contests were a favorite pastime. Love and laughter in the home inspired lifelong friendships that continued into adulthood.
In June of 1998, Trevor graduated from East Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington. Wrestling was a favorite activity in his teenage years, along with building computers in his bedroom. This set a clear pathway toward his future career in computer technology. Trevor later earned an associate's degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
Love came into his life, and he and Holly Fleck married in 2002. Their union did not last, but two beautiful children, Hailey and Tyler were born.
2010 marked the beginning of a new life with Karen Lee Scott. She had two young children, Benjamin (Benji) and Brinlee, whom he helped raise. He and Karen knew how to have fun together, constantly teasing and laughing with one another. He loved Benji and Brinlee as his own, just as Karen loved Hailey and Tyler. Their home included beloved dogs, Bones, Freya and Carlisle, and cat Echo. Tragically, Karen passed in 2024. He found solace in music and long walks.
Trevor's heart discovered love again when he met Allyson Bell. She found him to be generous, tender, affectionate, fun, dedicated, faith-filled, and trustworthy. They became engaged and were planning to marry on May 7, 2025, in the LDS Provo Temple.
Employment included Summit Ridge Systems, (owner) and more recently, bioMerieux. Trevor was a valued employee and served as Event and VIP Support Engineer.
Trevor was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a full-time mission in the Philippines Manila Mission from 1999-2002 (25 months).
Computers and information systems were his strength, and he volunteered these skills to help others. He was the family's "in-house" computer expert and would advise or fix the issue.
Being detailed was one of Trevor's characteristics. He had tiny handwriting and would write or tell detailed descriptions of events. He was particular about how he folded his clothes and organized them on shelves and in drawers. This was true of the kitchen where he always had a huge stash of sweets and soda.
Trevor was genuinely friendly. Anyone of any age could carry on a conversation with him and feel valued and respected.
Service was so important to Trevor. Many stories could be shared of times when he made the effort to help others in need. He made the decision to be an organ donor. Even after his death, his last gift will benefit those who have suffered terrible trauma.
Hobbies included music, attending concerts, singing karaoke, pickleball, bowling and mountain biking. Spending time with family was always a joy. His cooking (especially barbeque and homemade caramels) was always delicious. We enjoyed watching movies together and family camping.
Trevor's memory will live on in our hearts and we will celebrate his love and legacy.
