Tamera Lynn Beck, 55, affectionately known as Tammy or Taco, was born on October 7, 1969, in Butte, Montana to William Hunt and Shirley (Rowe) Hunt. She passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving daughters after a courageous battle with cancer on January 17, 2025, in Provo, Utah. Tammy's life was a brilliant beacon of love and light, and she fiercely dedicated herself to her family, which she considered her greatest achievement.
Tammy's career was marked by her devotion as an Office Manager at Alpine Lock for over a decade, where she ensured the safety and security of her community. Additionally, she served as the House Manager for the Provo Elks Lodge. As an active member of the B.P.O.E 849 for over 20 years, Tammy organized and participated in countless charitable events, demonstrating her commitment to service. She lived her life with unwavering integrity and honesty, always speaking her mind and encouraging others to be true to themselves. Her personal motto, "make life count," perfectly reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for adventure.
Tammy's feisty and fierce personality, coupled with her unconditional love, made everyone around her feel invincible. She found immense joy in the outdoors, nurturing her whimsical gnome-adorned gardens, and cherished the peaceful moments spent at Scott's family cabin. Tammy embraced life with open arms and a heart full of adventure. Whether she was racing down dirt paths in her side-by-side with the wind in her hair, cheering her heart out on the sidelines of a NASCAR race, or enjoying hot air balloon rides and adventures with her grandchildren, Tammy exemplified how to love life and live it to its fullest.
Tammy's presence was a precious gift to everyone she met. Her extraordinary ability to make life feel easy and meaningful left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. Tammy's laughter, love, and spirit will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Tammy is survived by her loving mother, Shirley Hunt; her daughters, Tiffanie (Jed) and Tristine (Jordan); and her four sisters, Mindy (Marty), Lisa (Carl), Melanie (Bryce), and Rachell. She also leaves behind her ten cherished grandchildren: Dale, William, Drake, Joseph, Phoenix, Maylee, Sophie, Silas, Luna, and Rowen, along with her spoiled and loyal furbaby, Dakka. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, William Hunt, her son, Todd Beck, and the love of her life, Scott Waters.
