Stuart Ray Wentz

Stuart Ray Wentz, 68, passed away peacefully Friday, December 2, 2022, at home in Orem, Utah.
 
The youngest child of Vern and Evelyn Wentz, Stuart was born in Provo, Utah, on February 4, 1954, and loved by his sister Vicki and his brothers Trent and Craig. He graduated from Orem High School, served a Latter-day Saint mission to the Mexico Southeast Mission, and then graduated from Brigham Young University in business. He married his sweetheart, Michelle Murawski, on March 14, 1981. They raised their 4 children, Steven, Jay, Kellie, and Kyle in American Fork. 
 
Stuart worked to pass on his most valued interests to his children—gardening, soccer, running, education, sports, hard work, and most importantly the gospel of Jesus Christ. In being relentlessly friendly to all he met, he set an example by helping others feel important. Always the entrepreneur, he was involved in many business ventures. At Christmas, he treasured playing Santa Claus at local hotels and family parties. He served as scoutmaster and gave his time to scouting for many years. Stuart had a strong sense of community, and always sought ways to volunteer his time to help others. As a lifelong Utah resident and sports fanatic, he was a loyal fan of the Utah Jazz and the BYU Cougars. 
 
He is survived by his children Steven (Sylvia), Kellie (Steven), Kyle (Tahna), and 9 grandchildren. 
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10th at the Latter-day Saint chapel at 680 N 350 W in American Fork at 10:00 am, preceded by a viewing at 9:00 am. Gravesite dedication and burial will follow at the American Fork Cemetery.
