With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stanley Melvin Hunsaker, a beloved husband, dedicated father, and fun-loving grandpa. Stan was born in Provo, Utah on September 9, 1951 to Ruth Pulsipher and Melvin Hunsaker. Despite many adventures through his life that took him around the country, Stan and Terri Ann Birch, his wife of 45 years, called Utah County home for most of his life.
Stan’s love for his family was unwavering and paramount to him. He wanted to spend his time with his children and grandchildren in whatever way he could. His commitment to the Lord was evidenced in his lifelong service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most recently, he spent the last 12 years serving in the temple and sharing his testimony of his Savior through his work there.
While Stan was known for many things, perhaps highest on that list was his booming singing voice, wit, humor, puns and clever wordsmithing. He also had many hobbies including pickleball, collectibles, sports memorabilia, playing games and more importantly winning. Stan’s self-motivated and entrepreneurial nature drove him to many exciting business ventures. Most notable among those were numismatics, mortgages, sports memorabilia, retail, and online sales.
Stan was welcoming and warm to all and got right to loving and joking with those around him. This often took the form of offering nicknames to anyone he could. That affection and lighthearted humor will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Terri, his children: Brian (Sali) Hunsaker, Traci Ellis, Natali (Nick) Baker, Brittani Hunsaker, Kelsi (Jacob) Nielson, Tyler (Kathleen) Hunsaker, Brady (Julia) Hunsaker, Matthew Hunsaker, his 21 grandchildren, and his siblings: Darlene (Frank) Ramsey, Allen (Karen) Hunsaker, Scott (Christen) Hunsaker, and Drew (Elizabeth) Hunsaker. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Nathan Hunsaker.
