Stanford William King, 84, passed away October 8, 2015 in St. George, Utah. Born May 19, 1931 in American Fork, Utah the son of William Edson and Hilda Marie Harding King. He married Connie Pritchett January 4, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Stan graduated from American Fork High School where he was active in sports, speech and drama and was the Senior Class President. He worked for many years in all areas of construction including building bridges along I-15, he also worked at Geneva Steel in the Open Hearth. He was a charter member of the 1457th Engineer Battalion, and served as the Company Commander retiring in 1995. Stan loved spending time with his wife traveling and exploring in their motorhome. He also loved spending time with his family and looked forward to all the opportunities to be with them. Survivors include his wife, Connie; children: Curtis (Debra) King; Craig (Janet) King; Cathy (Don) Humphries; Cory (Tara) King; 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The Family would like to thank the many people who have worked so hard to help Him through his last days. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 8th Ward, (300 North 100 East). A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, (49 East 100 North Am. Fork) and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
