Shirley Jeanne Stoker Vaughan, 81, passed away June 6, 2016 in Lehi, Utah. Born November 3, 1934 in Oswego, Kansas to Howard Walter Stoker and Grace Alene Taylor Stoker. She married Troy Sherman Vaughan December 11, 1954 in Downey, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on February 9, 2008.
Shirley was an active family history researcher. She loved music, played the piano and sang with the Southern California Mormon Choir for years. Shirley loved everyone she met and loved to sew and crochet, making beautiful baby blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid reader and built up a beautiful library.
She is survived by her husband, Troy, her children: Katherine (Robert) Coleman, Troy M (Deloris) Vaughan, Lauren (Jeffrey) Stewart-Meldrum and a daughter-in-law Donetta Vaughan , 17 grandchildren 30 great grandchildren and a sister, LeAnne Kankel. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Robin H. and a sister Patsy Budge.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Pheasant Point 6th Ward, 890 West 3070 North, Lehi, Utah. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
