She briefly lived at the Garden Home Training Center until placement at the Utah State Developmental center in 1972. She lived at USDC for 51 years.
During Sheryl's time at USDC she made many friends and formed close bonds with many of the individuals and staff. Sheryl was the most genuine pure soul. She absolutely loved without limitations. She was such a social butterfly and would always interact with everyone with kindness and joy. Sheryl made everyone feel so special. She loved all of her roommates and her staff. One of her favorite songs was "You Are my Sunshine" and it was a song that truly represented her well because she was the sunshine in everyone's life. Sheryl taught people how to love unconditionally, be kind to others, and to always bring positivity.
Sheryl loved feeling beautiful. She had a great collection of jewelry, headbands, and bows. She enjoyed getting dressed up every day and showing off her perfect smile. She loved to make people laugh and she loved to tease. She would always out party everyone, whenever we had a party, she was the first to start dancing and the last to keep singing songs. She loved going on trips and enjoying coloring. She used to look through her magazines every morning and give the warmest good morning greetings. Sheryl was able to touch the hearts of every person she met; she was truly a blessing on earth.
