November 29, 2021 the world got a little darker but heaven got a lot brighter as ShaLynn Steadman Adams was called back to her Heavenly Father at the age of 36 from complications from Covid-19.
She was born August 8th 1985, in American Fork Utah to Kurt and Lorri (Lynne) Steadman. She was the second child of four. ShaLynn met and married the love of her life Chad Michael Adams on July 26th 2018 in the Payson Utah Temple for time and all eternity.
She loved her nieces and nephews so much, to them she was their Aunt Shumin. She always wanted to be the fun aunt, and that is exactly what she was and will be remembered for. The nieces always wanted her to do their nails because she was the expert at "all things beautiful" and loved making them happy. The family called her the "Event Planner" she wanted to know the when and where at all times. Shay loved her family and wanted them to be around always.
Shay was a cheerleader in high school and loved being on the field cheering. Until the day she passed she could sing and cheer the Lehi Pioneer Fight Song. The morning of her passing she was able to reminisce about her high school cheerleading days with one of her nurses.
We always teased her that she had FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). She was a go getter and didn't want to miss out on ANYTHING. She loved going to concerts, any vacation, and playing in the water. She loved country music, the Boston Red Sox, Diet Coke and Disneyland. She was able to spend the week before her passing in Disneyland. While there she was able to meet one of her favorite musicians, Walker Hayes.
Shay brought with her the biggest and brightest smile. Always fun and happy, she was a light in every room, a true embodiment of goodness. Shay was always one to "let [her] light so shine before man, that they may see her good works and glorify her Father which is in heaven." We think that we can agree Shay wanted us to all be better people.
ShaLynn is survived by her loving husband Chad Adams; parents, Kurt and Lorri Steadman, siblings BreAnn (Russell) Franklin, KyLee (Pam) Steadman of Lehi and Jaden (Tiffany) Steadman of Idaho Falls. She is also survived by a devoted In-Law family, loving grandparents, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
She is proceeded in death by her Grandparents Dean and Lola Rigby.
We love you to the moon and back Shumin.
