With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ryan Lee Fotheringham, age 47. He was born on March 19, 1977, in Provo, Utah to Alan and Sharon Fotheringham. He was raised in American Fork, Utah and graduated from American Fork High School.
In his youth, Ryan served his fellowmen by fighting wildfires. Later, he served as an EMT in American Fork and Tooele, UT.
Ryan was a devoted father, a skilled mechanic, and a passionate car enthusiast known for his love of classic vehicles. His boys also shared this love with him. All those who knew Ryan knew he had a kind and gentle heart and loved animals.
Ryan will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Nathan, Michael, and Matthew Fotheringham, who carry forward his spirit in their hearts. He is also survived by his father Alan Fotheringham, siblings Richard Fotheringham, Ivy McLay, Paul Fotheringham, and Gary Fotheringham.
In honor of Ryan’s life, a public viewing will take place on January 10, 2025, at Anderson and Sons in American Fork, beginning at 9:45 AM. Following this, family and friends will gather for a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the same location. Ryan will be laid to rest at a burial service at 600 North Center Street, American Fork, UT 84003.As we navigate this time of grief, let us come together to celebrate Ryan’s legacy. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Ryan leaves behind a lasting impact on our lives, and in our hearts. His spirit will forever stay with us.Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Fotheringham.
