Ruston (Rusty) McKinney

Ruston (Rusty) Jay McKinney, 30, of Lehi passed away October 14, 2021. Born January 21, 1991 in Provo, Utah the son of Rodney Jay McKinney and Shelley Dean Young. Rusty was the third of four children and the oldest boy. Rusty loved being outdoors, hiking, hunting and fishing. He had a big, loving, soft heart, but you had to be someone special for him to share that side of himself. He had a smile and a laugh that would light up the room. Rusty’s mind was very creative and inquisitive and he was a wealth of knowledge, when asked.

Rusty is survived by his parents, siblings, Melissa (Rick) Maynard, Macie (Jacob) Reimschussel, Dallon (Jade) McKinney, his grandmother Bonnie K. McKinney and many aunts, uncles, cousins and 9 nieces and nephews. Rusty was proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond J McKinney and his maternal grandparents Stephen and Shirlee Young.

A memorial service will be held on Oct 29, 2021 at 2:15 in the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland. A visitation will be held after the service until 5:00 pm.
