Robert Kay Hall passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the age of 88. He was born September 5, 1934 in the Old Lehi Hospital, to Oscar Hurst and Nida Adamson Hall. The eighth of eleven children, he was raised “on” Highland where he helped on the family farm. As a young boy he was given a half acre where he grew cucumbers which he sold to the Utah Pickle Company to earn money for school clothes. He attended American Fork High School and was the first of his siblings to graduate, something he was very proud of. He served seven years in the Utah National Guard. As a young man Robert spent time working in Long Beach, CA at the Ford Motor Company. He worked in the sheet metal trade eventually starting his own side business. Robert worked for over 40 years at Geneva Steel completing a millwright apprenticeship through Utah Technical College while employed. He also served the community of American Fork as a volunteer firefighter.
Robert is survived by his children: Kurt (Cindy) Hall, Torri Hall, Nicole (Chris) Hansen and Jason (Angela) Hall; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and his brother Keith (Colleen) Hall. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Kaye, his parents, and nine siblings.
