Reva Elizabeth Myers White passed away peacefully at age 93 on January 4, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. She was born April 19, 1921 in Highland, Utah to Elizabeth Grace Kitchen Myers and Gilbert Yost Myers, the second of 5 children.
She was raised in Highland, Utah and went to school in Highland and American Fork where she was active in 4H. She went to Utah State University, majoring in Home Economics and met her sweetheart Robert (Bob) E. White.
They were married September 4 1941 just before Bob was sent to Alaska with the US Navy. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS temple July 11, 1945. Mom lived in Seattle, WA, Pasadena and Alameda, CA, Fallon NV, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Spanish Fork, Mapleton and Springville Utah.
She spent the last few years of her life in the Salt Lake City area near her daughter. Mom loved roses, gardening, sewing for her children, baking rolls and bread, visiting with family and friends, serving others, hummingbirds and reading gothic novels.
She is survived by daughters: Kay Lynn (Ron) Lund and Gayle. Sons: Alan (Kathie) and Philip (Lucy), 22 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Sister: Jeanne (Galyn) Blackburn and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, sister Dorothy, brothers Marion and Grant, and granddaughter Kameron.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs and friends at Wentworth, Silverado and Wellington care centers as well as Brighton Hospice for their love and care over the last 5 years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Reva's name to Brighton Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
