Raymond Phillip Vin Zant Sr., 89, died on April 29, 2021, in Lehi, Utah. He was born on January 14, 1932, in Omaha, Nebraska to Adren Merle Vin Zant and Phillamena Pearl Helferch. He married Violet May Cornelius on March 26, 1951, in Downey, California.
Raymond was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Raymond loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He worked hard to raise 17 children. He went on many adventures and was a Master Tradesman as well as an accomplished craftsman. Raymond was steadfast, an amazing husband and father.
Survivors include his wife Violet; children Violette Vin Zant, Raymond (Betty) Vin Zant, David (Jeane) Vin Zant, Diana Vin Zant (Steven Lutz), Thomas (Lisa) Vin Zant, John (Lenette) Vin Zant, Steven (Leslee) Vin Zant, Daniel (Vicki) Vin Zant, Robert (Lani) Vin Zant, Patrick (Kara) Vin Zant, Donald Vin Zant, Richard (Lilly) Vin Zant, Margaret Vin Zant, Christopher Vin Zant, James (Alicia) Vin Zant, Katheryn (Danny) Mueller and many grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dorothy Rose Vin Zant and siblings Sallyann and Adren.
Funeral services will be held in Southern California sometime in late June. A Catholic service followed by his interment in the Riverside National Cemetery will be conducted.
