Priscilla Mae Pearce Mathews, 88, passed away December 31, 2018 in Nowthen, Minnesota with her daughter Liz and son-in-law Steve by her side. She was born October 7, 1930 to Fredrick Draper Pearce and Alvis Letitia Nichol in Tulare, California. She married Robert James Mathews on August 22, 1953 in Elko, Nevada. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her children James (Patty) Mathews, Elizabeth (Steve) Gourley, Dorothy (Robert) Nilsson, Alice (Albert) Fitzgerald, Caroline (Kent) Thorne, Priscilla (John) Motsinger, John (Denise) Mathews and Andrew Eben Mathews, 31 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Juana Pearce. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Mathews and her parents, Fredrick Draper Pearce and Alvis Letitia Nichol, siblings, Alfred Earl Pearce, Elizabeth Ann Pearce, Robert Nichole Pearce, Melvin John Pearce, and son-in-law Kent Thorne.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00am in the American Fork 18th Ward building, 381 South 300 East, American Fork. The viewing will be from 9:45am to 10:45am at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
