Today, November 10, 2018 our mom received the greatest birthday gift ever. She was able to return home to her Heavenly Father and her wonderful eternal companion John (our dad). I'm sure everyone was awaiting her with excitement.

Phyllis was greeted in Heaven by her husband John, her son Steven, her daughter Jeanette Barber, two sons in law, Duke Barber, and Jim Alexander. Also there waiting were her mother and father.

Phyllis attended Holy Cross nursing school in Salt Lake City in 1943. She graduated as a registered nurse. Her career gave her the opportunity to serve and care for many. She worked in many different facets of nursing as her and John and family were able to live in Utah, California, Colorado, Missouri, and Oklahoma, then 2Phyllis lived in Arizona for her last seven years.
Phyllis was loved by many friends all over the country and even Canada. Phyllis and John took the love they had for their Heavenly Father and teachings of the LDS religion and shared it with the Assinibone Indians in the Saskatchewan Mission, Winnipeg, Canada. The reserve they served on was "Carry the Kettle Reserve". She loved serving in many church callings. Phyllis also served two Stake missions after John passed away.
What a great legacy of love and service is left by Phyllis. She always said "I have had a most interesting life.
