We are sad to announce the passing of Peggy Ann Hansen, 82, of American Fork, on December 17, 2024. Peggy was born July 9, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Alice Blake of Copperton, Utah. She married Allen Leslie Hansen August 3, 1963 in Salt Lake City and their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple June 11, 1993.
Peggy was a dedicated wife and mother to her husband, Al, and her children. She took great care to create a home filled with warmth and special holiday memories. Her yard was always beautiful and reflected her love of flowers and gardening. Peggy's kind and friendly nature attracted many lifelong friends, with whom she created countless wonderful memories. Peggy's life was defined by her generosity and dedication to her family, friends, and community. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and gathered them together often in her home and also in her favorite camping spots. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she found great fulfillment in her faith and served diligently, including a meaningful mission at Martin's Cove in 2006. Her spirit of service extended to her involvement with the Ladies Fireman's Auxiliary for over 30 years, where she offered her time and support with grace and kindness.
She is survived by her children: Leslie (Craig) Hermansen; Brad (Marni) Hansen; Laurie (Jon) Slater; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allen Hansen, a grandson: Morgan Slater, and her brother, Robert Blake.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all of the dedicated care-givers at Bella View Assisted Living, as well as Zach and Victoria from Canyon Home Care and Hospice.
We invite family and friends to celebrate Peggy's remarkable life and legacy. Funeral services will held Monday December 23, 2024 at 11 am in the LDS church at 455 East 300 North.
