Pauleen Homer Floyd was born 23 Feb 1929 in Gary Indiana to Avera Cluff and Charles Ephriam Homer. Pauleen is the second oldest of Charles and Avera's 5 children. Her family lived on a small family farm in Highland, Indiana. They raised chickens and had a dairy cow which helped them through the great depression of the 1930s.
On April 15th. 1954 Pauleen married Charles Robert Fishback on 15 April 1954. They had 6 children. The family lived in southern California for 10 years, Pauleen was always the adventurous type, and in 1969 the family moved up to the last frontier of Alaska. She enjoyed the outdoor activities of gardening, berry picking, fishing, and preserving food for the family.
Pauleen loved to cook and sew. She taught her daughters the art of sewing and they became skilled seamstresses. Pauleen was a devoted genealogist and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
In 1985 Pauleen married William Floyd in Alaska. They lived in Kenai and Trapper Creek, Alaska for 25 years. William died in 2010. Pauleen moved to Idaho in 2012 to be closer to her grandchildren. She continued to garden while living there in Rexburg. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was very important to her. She spent much of her time in these later years doing family history and temple work in the Rexburg temple.
Pauleen was 95 years old and is survived by her sister Rae Goswisch of South Carolina, and her 4 sons: Robert Homer Fishback (Karen)of Norco, California, Leland Homer Fishback (Jill) of Saint George, Utah, David Homer Fishback of Eagle Mountain, Utah and Jeffrey Homer Fishback of Wilsonville, Oregon and 2 daughters: Maralee Johnson (Kelly Sr.) of Rexburg, Idaho and Raeleen Hancock (Dave) of Chino Hills, California. Pauleen is survived by 28 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10 am at the Covington Senior Living Center, 301 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah.
She was an avid cat lover. In lieu flowers donate to your local animal shelter.
