Nicholas "Nicky" Herrera, age 36, died on Monday October 10th, 2016 while on hospice in Salt Lake City, UT due to a very short and sudden bout with an aggressive leukemia. Many of his closest friends were able to visit with him before his passing and were all grateful to have an extra bit of sunshine in their lives for just a little while longer. He lived with Front Line Services in Riverton, UT for the past year, and with Danville Services in Orem, UT for 15 years before that. Nicholas led an extremely challenging life due to numerous health and safety concerns, and required an enormous amount of love and support throughout his entire life, which his supporters were all happy to provide. Nicholas made a lasting impression on everyone around him and had a truly individual character. The world is a darker place without his infectious smile and laugh, and for many of us, like one of the songs he loved to sing, he was our sunshine. We will miss him dearly. A special thanks to all of Nicholas' supporters over the years from Danville and Front Line Services for their loving, compassionate, and unwavering support. Their tireless dedication has made all the difference.
