Michael Searle

Michael Reed Searle, 69, passed away June 4, 2016 in American Fork, Utah. Born August 21, 1946 to Max Parker Searle and Edith Wright Searle in American Fork, Utah. He married Mary Kay Nielsen April 1964 in American Fork, Utah. They later divorced. Michael married Linda Marlene Trower January 2, 1987 also in American Fork, Utah.
He worked at Geneva Steel for 22 years in the rolling mill. He was a professional Amateur Ham Radio Operator and a sports car enthusiast. He loved gadgets especially his computers and drones. He helped everyone he came in contact with. He was a man who showed others his love by doing for them, but was a very quiet, gentle giant.
Michael is survived by his wife, Linda, his children: Troy (Otivia) Searle, Cary Searle, Shane (Esther) Searle, Jason (Jessica) Searle, April Searle, James (Irene) Nielsen, Jerrilynn (José) Rodriguez, Brenda (Jason) Johnson, Cindi Nielsen, Brian Nielsen, Cari Nielsen, Amanda Nielsen, 45 Grandchildren, 31 great Grandchildren, Siblings: Robert (Barbara Ann) Searle, Larry (Ann) Searle, MaryAnn Shawler. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Harbor 1st Ward, 600 South 100 West, American Fork. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
