Lew Mitchell, 75, of American Fork passed away July 23, 2024 surrounded by family. Born June 15, 1949 in American Fork, Utah. The son of Marriner and Joyce Mitchell. He married Connie Gardiner on May 13, 1978 in American Fork, Utah. 

Lew played baseball through out high school. He love the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and camping with his family. Lew was very creative. He flint knapped knives and arrowheads. He carved peace pipes and beautiful ornate boxes, He made amazing pictures using pastels and colored pencils. 

He is survived by his loving wife Connie, of 46 years, his children: LuAnn Montoya, Doug (Margo) Mitchell, Casey (Heidi) Mitchell, Ambier (Vince Petersen) Mitchell; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; siblings Peggy Newman, Lee Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell and Judy Blaney. 

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 29 at 11:00 AM in the American Fork Cemetery, 26 West 600 North. He was loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
