Lynda Kay Doramus Krog, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, better known as “Bammy”, peacefully passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on October 6, 1946, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, to Bruce Morris and Phyllis Maxine Robinson. Lynda brought warmth, love, and laughter to all who knew her.
Lynda married the love of her life, Jim “Tim” Krog, on August 28, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in November of 1971 in the Los Angeles Temple. Their unfailing love was enough to last more than a lifetime. Jim and Lynda were known as two lovebirds, often showing their love for each other through affectionate hugs and cuddles.
Lynda's life was centered around her family. As an only child, she dreamed about one day filling her own home with many children, pets, and everything she loved--and that’s exactly what she did. She dedicated herself to creating a loving home for her husband, Jim, and their seven children. Always staying close to the Spirit, and having a very close relationship with her Heavenly Father, Lynda had a gift of spiritual dreams. Her stories and experiences about her dreams were inspiring, and she always followed her dreams, as they were promptings from her Heavenly Father guiding her down her own life’s path. The Krog home was a revolving door where any and all were welcome; friends, missionaries, and even lost kittens were known to find refuge there. She cherished her family and loved them deeply. Her love for all shined through her role as a mother and wife, where she found immense joy in caring for the ones she loved most. Lynda was always willing to give of herself, no matter what it took.
Having spent most of her childhood in Kansas, Lynda took pride in her Kansas roots and she was proud of where she came from. She spent her time creating delicious meals and collecting and sharing her favorite recipes: she loved to cook and care for her family. Shopping was not just a hobby for her; it was an art that she mastered. Lynda was the very best at finding the perfect treasures, especially for her grandkids. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Her collection and love for toys and dolls was endearing and connected her to her grandkids in a special way only a child could know.
Lynda had a unique way of telling stories and sharing her life’s experiences with others, drawing many to sincerely love her fun-loving personality. She was not afraid to allow her true self to be known to all who met her and her forgiving heart along with her contagious and notorious laugh connected her with others through lasting and loving friendships. Our Bammy had the biggest heart and she was always willing to let anyone in. She lived a full and beautiful life and although her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew Lynda, her legacy will certainly live on in the hearts of all those who loved her!
She is survived by her husband, Jim; seven children, Dave (Andrea) Krog, Daniel (Adam) Krog, Kristy (Layne) Clarke, Karin (Doug) Davis-Vogel, Mike (Angie) Krog, Jenn (Carter) Allen, and Laura (Aaron) York; 26 grandchildren; and her half-sister, Brenda Blackwood. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Morris and Phyllis Robinson as well as her stepfather, Bob Doramus.
A viewing to honor and celebrate Lynda's life will take place on December 1, 2023, from 9:30-10:45 AM at the South Mountain 8th Ward chapel, 1911 East Gray Fox Drive Draper, Utah. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at the same location at 11:00 AM. The service will also be broadcasted for those who are unable to attend in person.
