Lyall Eaves

Lyall Edward Eaves, 81, of Highland, Utah passed away with his wife and daughter by his side November 2, 2018. Born January 19, 1937 in Iraan, Texas the son of Thomas Leslie and Lillie Gladys Luttrell Eaves.  He married JoAnn Whatley September 15, 1957 in Iraan, Texas.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Lyall was known for his gentle nature and kind heart.  He loved people and loved socializing with them.  He loved sports, especially Texas High School Football and Golf.  He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Lyall served as the Bishop of the Irving Texas Ward and in many other leadership positions.
Surviviors include his wife, JoAnn; daughter Kara (Bryan) Birrell; grandchildren: Casey Eaves; Nathan Birrell; and Taylor Donner, as well as four great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Kyle and his siblings: Ruth Hale; W.T. Eaves; Levon Eaves; Laverne Eaves; and Lou Ann Carroll.
A memorial service will be held in Lyall's honor on January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highland Station Ward building, 300 Ridgecrest Drive, Saginaw, Texas 76179
