Louise Beck (Meyers) Nerney
"Nana" Louise passed away peacefully at home in Santa Cruz California on April 18, 2017 surrounded by her children, puppy and flower garden. One of the world's most compassionate souls, Louise was born in American Fork Utah on December 14, 1928 to Laura Pulley (Beck) Larsen and Horace Beck.
Steel Days Queen 1952, she was American Fork's most beautiful girl, inside and out. BYU graduate, she married John Meyers, and they had three children (Kim, Tony, and Becky) during John's medical school years at the University of Utah. The young Air Force family traveled extensively before settling in California where Louise worked for many years at Stanford University.
In 1990 she was married to Alan Nerney and moved to Santa Cruz where the couple shared great happiness. She loved dancing, sunsets and moon rise, driving to Davenport with Yogi, flowers, and family - especially sharing and tending her grandmother's rose garden with those she loved. She loved deeply and gave freely and her loss leaves an immeasurable void.
Nana Louise, we feel blessed to have had you as an important part of our lives and will always cherish the times we have spent together. So thanks, not just for your gifts and thoughtfulness, but for your presence, support, and love. You made the world a special place. With love- Sisters: JennaVee Worthen, LaRae Nelson, Charlotte Corbett, Jeanne Duncan. Brother: Douglas Larsen(dec). Husbands: John Meyers (dec) and Alan Nerney (dec). Children: Kim Meyers, Tony Meyers, Becky Meyers (and Yogi). Grandchildren: Andrea, John, Michelle, Madison, Matthew, Savanna. Great Grandchildren: Marco and Bobbi.
