Louise Davies

August 14, 1931 — January 25, 2025

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Emma Davies, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on January 25, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on August 14, 1931, in Provo, Utah, Louise was the third of five children born to Emma Emery and Merrill Lewis "Curly" Olsen. Her childhood was spent on her father's farm, where she developed a deep love for animals, raising dogs, chickens, and rabbits.

Louise graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949 and attended Brigham Young University for one semester, where she would walk from her home in Orem to the Provo campus. On her 19th birthday, Louise married the love of her life, Keith Neilsen Davies, in the Manti Temple. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, welcoming six children into their lives.

Throughout her life, Louise's vibrant spirit shone through her various passions. She relished riding horses and proudly participated in parades, even earning invitations and participated three times to ride in the Rose Bowl Parade, adorned in an elegant Arabian costume she crafted herself. A talented seamstress, Louise sewed many of her children's clothing for many years and lovingly created nightgowns for her granddaughters each Christmas. Her skills extended to the art of crochet and knitting, where she brought joy to others by crafting baby bennies for newborns in the hospital. Louise was also known for producing the best homemade bread, a treat that will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of tasting it.

Louise is survived by her children: Wayne Davies, Brent (Nelda) Davies, Connie (LeRon), Betty (Scott), Brian (Kristi) Davies and Evan (Vicky) Davies, and her cherished 28 grandchildren 53 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and dedication that will forever enrich the lives of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, her parents and a daughter-in-law Deri grandson Brandon and a granddaughter Randi.

A Funeral Service will celebrate Louise's life at the Lehi East Stake Center, 2790 North Center Street, Lehi, Utah on January 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing from 9:45-10:45 AM at the same location. Following the service, Louise will be laid to rest on January 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the cemetery located at 1100 North 400 East, Lehi, UT 84043.
