Lori Johnson

Lori Jean Rice Johnson, 62, passed away September 15, 2021 in Provo, UT surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 23, 1959 in Brownfield, TX to Bobby Joe & Janette Rice. She married Vernon W. Johnson on May 30, 1980.

Lori was such a fun and loving person to be around. She was very well known for her love of crocheting and collecting yarn. She also enjoyed collecting different kinds of fabric. She made countless quilts for friends and family members. When she traveled she loved collecting knick-knacks from all over. She has thousands of different kinds of knick-knacks.

Lori was a sentimental person and was so kind to others. Her love for her family was unwavering. Her children and grandkids were her most precious possessions. She was also known for her amazing meals. She loved cooking and she was very good at it. Every time she made a meal she would make double the amount of food just to make sure everyone was full and satisfied after having one of her meals.

Lori loved shopping, playing board games and spending time with those she loved. She never liked her picture to be taken. Most pictures are of her with her holding grandkids over her face. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Vernon and their children: Jeremy, Joshua, Mesina, Lorina, Reja-Lena and 15 grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her Mom Jenny Rice and brother Mike Rice.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Cedar Hills 15th Ward Chapel located at 10351 North Bay Hill Drive, Cedar Hills, UT, 84062. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening on September 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, UT. A viewing will be held the day of the funeral on Wednesday from 9:45 – 10:45 am prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will take place in the American Fork cemetery.
