Lonnie Bowers

Lonnie Camille Sheplee Bowers, 64, of American Fork, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on January 30, 2023. Born August 22, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota she was the daughter of Daniel Rae Sheplee and Mary Jane Covert Ewing Sheplee. She married Mark Merrill Bowers on May 3, 1980 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lonnie loved playing games with her family and friends and was very good at them. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be missed by them and the lessons she taught at "Grandma school". She loved cats, bunnies, and just about all other small furry creatures and was recognized for her organizational skills.

Lonnie worked with her husband off and on for many years at Bowers Photography. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings during her lifetime. She especially enjoyed her callings as a Temple and Family History consultant and Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her husband, Mark, sons, Jeremy (Andrea) Bowers, Michael (Danielle Watson-Bowers) Bowers, 5 grandchildren, 2 sisters Lynnrae Fors, and Lorrie Khan. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Steven.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Hillcrest 3rd Ward, 150 West 1120 North in American Fork. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Tuesday at the church prior to the services from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Burial in Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
