Leonard Higley

Leonard Gene Higley, 81, of Lehi, Utah, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021.  Leonard went to American Fork High School and joined the Navy in 1958.  He served in the Vietnam War and was disabled while serving on the U.S.S. Intrepid.

In 1974 he met and married Jana Lee Tolton Chadwick.  They married December 7, 1974.  He began working at the Utah State Prison in 1977.  He worked for 20 years and retired in 1997.

He is survived by his daughter Shirley (Carl) Craner, Lehi, UT, his stepchildren whom he called his own: Dean (Glenda) Chadwick, Roosevelt, UT, Blake (Jacquel) Chadwick, Palisade, CO, Rachelle (Kevin) Hoover, Las Vegas, NV, 2 brothers, 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death  by his wife Jana, His mother and father and 2 brothers, step son, Kirk Chadwick, his grandson Brian Scott Hansen and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11 AM at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.  A viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the services.  Burial will be in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park at Camp Williams.
