Leola Bateman Durrant, 92, passed away January 26, 2017. She was born November 24, 1924 in West Jordan, Utah to Earl Preston Bateman and Myrtle Hogan. She married Wayne L (Huck) Durrant on October 29, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She worked as a secretary for Wootton & Wootton Attorney's. She was active in the LDS Church and enjoyed serving in many callings, as well as serving a mission. She also did volunteer work for the community. She served as a Pink Lady, served on the Recreation Committee, Lions Club, Senior Citizens Center and on the Miss American Fork Pageant Committee.
She is survived by her daughter Shauna (Neil) Thomas, Son Barry (Shauna) Pedersen, daughter-in-law Darlene Gurney Durrant, 9 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren, brother Wayne Charles Bateman. Preceded in death by her husband Wayne L (Huck) Durrant, Son Bryan Ray Durrant, grandson Austin Thomas, her parents, brother Earl Ray Bateman and sister Joyce Bateman Harding.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 18th Ward Chapel, 381 South 300 East. A viewing will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
