Kristopher Thomas Bartlett, age 24, from Highland Utah, passed away in his sleep from undetermined causes on March 12, 2016. Kristopher was born in Provo, Utah on September 13, 1991 to Troy Kristopher and Laura (Durtschi) Bartlett. Kristopher came into this life as a sweet, intelligent, and inquisitive little boy and these qualities continued throughout his life. He was a graduate of Lone Peak High School and was awarded multiple scholarships including the National Merit Scholarship. He went on to study at the University of Utah, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and enjoyed working in the labs at the U. He will graduate with his degree posthumously in the spring.
Kristopher loved the outdoors and being active: hiking, snowboarding, camping, and climbing. He was a dedicated rock climber and pushed himself to excel. He had many great rock climbing adventures with good friends that he cherished. He loved music, learning to play the piano at an early age and later, the bass guitar. He enjoyed his time with his buddies in their band. He was an adoring animal lover. Kristopher was especially devoted to his own two little dogs that were by his side when he passed away. He always had a passion for learning and his ability to comprehend was incredible. Endless hours were spent reading, studying, watching and soaking up all things on science, space and engineering. He was a deep thinker and really appreciated a great conversation. Kristopher's best qualities were his absolute kindness and acceptance of all. He truly always looked for the best in others. He was well-loved by his friends and family and will be dearly missed.
We love you so much Kristopher, and until we meet again, keep climbing higher!
Kristopher is survived by his parents, brother Connor, grandparents; Don & Ann Durtschi and Howard & Collene Bartlett, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 11:00 at 11605 North 6000 West, HIGHLAND, UT 84003. Viewings will be at the church Friday, March 18, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Highland City Cemetery.
