Kent E. Chipman 68, beloved husband of Jamie Chipman, passed away peacefully in her arms after a brief battle with Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cancer on April 27, 2021 in American Fork, Utah. Kent was born August 19, 1952. He was #10 of 12 children born to Harris and Virginia Chipman of Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Kent is known for his broad knowledge of the Gospel. He was a faithful Disciple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where He served valiantly in all his callings.
Kent loved to play baseball, softball and golf. He was a Master Plumber by trade. He owned and operated Chipman Plumbing inc. for 40 years.
All those who knew and loved Kent were blessed by his optimistic approach to life. He believed “when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”
He is survived by his devoted wife Jamie of 11 years, her parents Brad and Kathie Deveraux of American Fork, Brandon (Jessica) Deveraux, (Kelly) Jennifer Betts, Dale (Jen) Deveraux, his siblings: Marcia Ann (Raymond) Smith, Jeanne (Tony) Evans, Jerald (Ginny) Chipman, Steve (Linda) Chipman, Mark (Joan) Chipman, Val (Sharon) Chipman, Virginia (Glen)Tarr & 4 Children and 3 Grandchildren. Kent was proceeded in death by his parents. Brothers Vern, Bruce and James Chipman and one sister, Hazel Dawn Belliston.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the Harbor LDS building 600 S 100 W, American Fork at 1:00 pm with a viewing held prior from 11:45 – 12:45 at the church. Internment will take place in the American Fork City Cemetery.
