Kenneth Bartlett Moravec, 61, of American Fork, passed away peacefully at his home December 24, 2022. He was born June 5, 1961 in Provo, Utah the son of Garry Moravec and Janet Dorothy Bartlett Moravec. He married Yrma Flores-Rubio September 8, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They later divorced. He married Christine Susan Carver January 14, 2000 in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple.
Kenneth will always be known for his love of gardening, woodworking, and teaching others about emergency preparedness. He was active in scouting most of his life and served as the scoutmaster for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings with one of his favorites being as a temple worker at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. He served an LDS mission in Bolivia, teaching in both Spanish and native Indigenous languages.
Survivors include his wife, Chris; children, Kori Moravec-Flores, Inti Moravec, Yatiri Moravec-Flores, Nichole (Rory) Burke, Alex (Marianne) Healey, Richard Healey, Matthew (Amanda) Healey, 10 grandchildren, his mother Janet, and siblings Michelle Degeus, Scott Moravec, and Sharon Gracia. He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Barbara. He also leaves behind a stash of chocolate and a millennial supply of N95 masks.
