Kenneth Ray Dubois

December 18, 1944 — May 31, 2024

Kenneth Ray Dubois was born December 18, 1944 to Keith Dubois and Fae Mathis Dubois.  He spent his formative years with his parents and 7 siblings in Fairfield and Lehi.  Ken was the student body president of Lehi High School in 1962-1963.

Ken met his future wife, Marianne Dean, at Utah State University where he studied social work and psychology.  He said he knew if he married the gregarious Marianne, he would never have a dull moment again (truer words were never spoken!). They were married December 29, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Ken earned a graduate degree in Psychiatric Social Work from the University of Utah and over the years he and Marianne had 5 children. Ken had a long career in the Jordan School District where he helped countless students and teachers in his role as a Guidance Counselor/School Psychologist.

Ken enjoyed fishing, track and field, Native American culture, black licorice and his many pet hunting dogs.  Ken is especially known for his ability to connect with children. As a young man he was called the “Pied Piper” because children would flock to him and want to play.

Ken had a testimony of Jesus Christ. He was a fantastic father and very involved in the lives and activities of his children and grandchildren. He was a natural nurturer and has left a lasting legacy of love for his family.

Ken is survived by his children, Kristi Hansen (John), Lari Todd (Mark), Jennifer Correa (Doug), Ryan Dubois (Lih) and Amy Dubois. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, Hillary (Russell), Ian (Stephanie), Kade, Jacey, Taylor, Logan, Mia (Logan), Cole, Kenny, Mollee (Eric), Owen Ben, Dallas, Vinny and Eduardo, and his great granddaughter, Lila Fae.  Ken is also survived by his 7 siblings, Loel Dubois, Stan Dubois, Lynn Dubois, Terry Dubois, Mike Dubois, Wendy Wilson, and Danny Dubois.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Fae, and his vivacious wife, Marianne.

Ken’s children would like to thank the indefatigable staff at Bellaview Assisted Living, Dr. Gary Holland, and the attentive A+ Hospice staff for the compassionate care they gave Ken throughout the last year of his life.
