Kathleen Green Brady our amazing, beautiful and loving mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on December 24th, 2024 (Christmas Eve) at the age of 69. She passed into eternity on her own terms after many years of physical challenges. Truly fighting the good fight and finishing the race!
Kathy was born in American Fork, on August 25th, 1955. The third child and first daughter of Howard and Joan Hooley Green, joining Randy and Gary. Later, they added Dan and Julie to their eternal family. There were many years of fun and laughter growing up together in Lindon! It was a beautiful and happy home. All of them learning the importance of hard work, enjoying life together and living the gospel. Kathy was a happy active little girl. She loved to pick cherries to earn money. She attended Lindon Elementary and Pleasant Grove Jr. and Sr. High Schools. Where she was on the student council and played all sports, softball being her favorite. Graduating in the class of 1973. She also worked at Farmers Korner in Lindon. She later attended Utah State University on a scholarship.
She married Curtis Brady (they later divorced) and together had three wonderful sons. Eric, Jason and Matthew (Matt) Brady.
Kathy and her boys lived in Utah and Washington while they were growing up. With Kathy's love and support each son graduated from Mountain View High School in Vancouver, WA. All served missions and received their degrees from college. Her family and friends mean everything to her. She so loves her boys and 12 beautiful grandchildren. Halee, Kennedy, Jaden, Britain, Regan, Nathan, Carson, Grayson, Tucker, Kyson, Mason and Colin. Her entire life revolved around her family.
She was very strong, independent, and organized. She was thoughtful and shared kindness and encouragement to others. Kathy always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile, even in pain and with the challenges she had. She reached out to many in words, letters, and cards. Especially on birthdays and other important occasions. She had many close friends whom she dearly loved. She was able to spend her last years with Mom and Boyd Williams (Step-Dad). Her mom cared for and loved her deeply. Kathy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ and served in many callings.
Kathy loved stitchery and made many beautiful creations for her loved ones. She enjoyed the outdoors, plants, flowers, and especially camping. She liked to tease, laugh, play games, watch game shows, and played fantasy football with her family. She put many puzzles and photo albums together. She also loved reading and listening to books.
Kathy is survived by her sons Eric (Brittany), Jason (Laura) and Matthew (Jessica) Brady. Her 12 grandchildren. Her Mother Joan Green Williams, Brothers Randy (Deb), Gary (Diane) Green and Sister Julie (Bret) Frampton. Step-Brothers Dwane (Virginia), Glen Arlin (Hwan), Larry (Sue), (Terry Williams), Robert (Lori), David Williams and Dena Williams. Step-Sister Linda (Terry) Whitener.
She was happily received by her Father Howard Green, Brother Dan Green, Step-Brother Ken Williams and Step-Father Boyd Williams, who passed away earlier this year.
She was always Faithful and "Determined" to accomplish all she needed to do. We love our dear, sweet Kathy! She was a great example to us all!
