Jonathan Glen Prevo, 52, of Lehi, Utah was a brilliant, kind, unconditionally loving husband, father, son and friend who passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 after a Hemorrhagic Brainstem Stroke. Words cannot express our deep sorrow for this unexpected loss.
Jon was born May 30, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Paul and Merle Prevo and grew up in Richland, Washington. His younger years were spent reading fantasy books, teaching himself how to code computers (he made a computer link via phone to friends before there was internet), loved music, and sci-fi movies. He loved to fancy himself as a true Geek. Jon had a craving for knowledge his whole life and became an awesome self-taught Software Engineer and was a highly valued employee.
He met his wife Kellie through good friends, and they both knew instantly that they had found their forever love in each other. Finally! Their love was a rare one, both adoring each other throughout their short 16 years of marriage. It was no different with his children. He was a very close, hands-on father and his children love him immensely.
His friendly demeanor made him so easy to get to know and like. Those he met instantly connected with him, and found in him a true friend.
In his spare time he loved watching the Seahawks, throwing football with his kids and playing Xbox. His passion project this last year was designing, working and hand finishing the back yard, he was so proud of it. Kellie and the children will organize a "Celebration of Life" in the new year to show it off.
Jon is survived by his beloved wife Kellie Prevo, Daughter Felicia Prevo, Step-son Dylan and his wife Paige Shanks, Step-son Ethan Shanks, Son Finnigan Prevo, Daughter Isabelle Prevo, Parents Paul and Merle Jensen Prevo, Sister Laura and her husband Jonathan Tweet.
