Joel David Adamson Sr, 67, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 6, 2021 in Provo, Utah. He was born on December 31, 1953 to Jesse LeGrand Adamson and Cora Loraine Beck Adamson in American Fork, Utah. When he was born he was a pleasant surprise to his parents and his 4 older siblings. He was referred to as "Jolly Joel" in his family.
Joel faithfully served a French speaking mission in Quebec, Canada. Shortly after returning home he met the love of his life, Cheryl Kay Glover, at Utah State University. They were married on August 18, 1976 in the Logan Temple. Together they raised two children and they now enjoy 4 grandchildren. They are Dominic Adamson, and Mia, Landon and Analiese Church.
Joel enjoyed traveling, reading and dating his wife every Friday. In his younger years, he enjoyed hiking, camping and writing. He was a very loving, kind, husband and father. Joel will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Kay, children and grandchildren: Joel (Lesa) Adamson Jr., Elisha Kaye (Clint) Church, siblings: Eric Adamson, Mac Adamson and Loraine Fackrell. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Stephen Adamson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00am at the Bowrey Building Wardhouse, 680 North 350 West, American Fork. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6 to 8pm at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and on Saturday from 9:45 to 11:00 at the church.
