In loving memory of our dear Jeannie VaNae Lin, a devoted mother, scout leader, dance instructor, and beloved member of the community. Born on December 27, 1943, VaNae’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of many throughout her journey.
VaNae’s passion for helping others shone brightly as she dedicated her time to the Boy Scouts of America, guiding numerous young men to the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. Her love for dance led her to teach students in a local dance studio, spreading joy and inspiration through movement. Additionally, VaNae’s caring nature extended to her years as a dietitian at LDS Hospital, where she made a difference in the lives of many.
After graduating from Orem High School, VaNae taught dancing at Tony deCarlo dance studio. As the eldest child in her family, she played a vital role in raising her ten siblings, embodying strength and compassion in all that she did. VaNae fell in love and married her husband Danny in the Salt Lake Temple.
VaNae is survived by her loving sons Daniel Lin, Paul (Aimee) Lin and Joseph Lin her grandchildren: Juliette, Emma, Calvin and Charlotte Lin, her siblings: Ken (Suzanne) Lowe, Sharleen (Lloyd) Clemens, Jeanne (Greg) Thompson, Ben Lowe, Dennis (Cindy) Lowe, Denise (Kim) Judd, Daniel (Amy) Lowe, Danielle Judd, David (Sheila) Roylance, Kay V. (Barbara) Roylance, Harold (Trudi) Goode, Robert Goode, Martha (Kevin) Manning, Thomas (Jen) Goode who have cherished her guidance and love throughout the years. She is preceded in death by her husband Danny, her parents Ivan Lowe and Beverly Roylance, step dad Dale Roylance, her adopted parents Donna and Stan Goode, sister Kay Hayden, and brother George Ricks.
Celebrating the life and legacy of Jeannie VaNae Lin, a public viewing will be held at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A second public viewing will be held at the Slate Canyon 10th Ward, 1745 South State Street, Provo, Utah on March 2, 2024, from 9:00 - 9:45 AM, followed by a funeral service on March 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
As we come together to honor VaNae’s memory, let us reflect on the joy and light she brought to the world around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those she touched, forever remembered with love and gratitude.
