Jay Kofoed

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jay Andrew Kofoed. Jay returned home to our Heavenly Father at the age of 72 on October 1, 2024, with his children by his side. He raised his three wonderful children in Taylorsville, Utah. He loved sports and was an avid University of Utah fan. Those that knew him, knew that he loved a clean car and telling a funny joke. He thrived off being around and meeting people. And he would never forget a face and a name. Jay loved working with his hands. He spent countless hours woodworking, building projects to beautify his house or to give to family and friends.

Jay is survived by his son Tyler (Amanda) Kofoed, Brian (Hanna) Kofoed, and Whitney (Kory) Jackson. He left behind eight beautiful grandchildren.

The celebration of Jay's life will take place at a Graveside Service at Pony Express Memorial Cemetery, 4647 North Eagle Mountain Blvd. Eagle Mountain, on October 12, 2024, at 10:00 am.
