Francisco Javier Marquez Gutierrez “Paquito Chiquito”, 56, passed away suddenly on May 22, 2020 in Murray, Utah. He was born August 4, 1963 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Pascual Marquez and Guadalupe Gutierrez Marquez. He married Maria De Lourdes Moya in San Luis Potosi, SLP, Mexico.
Javier loved the city of Chicago, and all of its sports teams including the Cubs. He was a wonderful father and had nicknames for everyone. He loved food, all kinds of food especially pizza, and he was always snacking. He would even get up in the night to snack or finish anyone’s leftovers. He loved cats, receiving gifts, and Hard Rock (Metallica, Gun & Roses and Aerosmith). He always said that his children were the best looking ones and no one else’s children could compare. Javier was a simple man of few words, but everyone who talks about him says he was a good person, a very loving person, and had a calming Spirit about him. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he believed in the promise that families are eternal.
He is survived by his loving wife Maria “Mi Lulu”, and children: Claudia “Coquito”, Daisy “Pokele”, and Isaac “Chetito”. He is preceded in death by his parents whom he dearly missed.
