Jason Reed passed away on March 10, 2016 after a heroic battle with cancer. Jason was born on December 13, 1972 to John and Barbara Reed. He was raised in South Jordan and attended Bingham High School.
In 1997 he married his best friend, Afton, who not only loved him but also his two children, Talysa and Mitch. After being married for five years they added Anthony and then Grace to their family. Jason was very proud of his kids and his grandson Ryder. He loved them more than anything in this world. Jason was gifted with strength and the will to live, not only just to live but to really live life to the fullest. He was a miracle in motion. Family was everything and to know him meant you loved him. He would instantly welcome you in as part of the family.
He loved camping with his family and friends, hunting with his sons, fishing with his buddies, and gathering everyone in his home for a night of laughs. Jason's tireless sense of humor during any obstacle was inspiring. He was able to turn a passion into a career. His selfless love for helping others made him a heroic firefighter and EMT. His love for dogs allowed him to train k9's for Search and Rescue, and he became a licensed falconer just so he could train, hunt and rehabilitate birds of prey. Jason's role as vice-president of Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club gave him the Harley adventure he craved with his beautiful bride holding tight. Jason's ability to live life and his strength to keep hanging on "just a little bit longer" will forever bless those who love him, as he is now an angel that's unstoppable. His body lay at rest, but a soul like Jason has no end.
He is survived by both parents, his wife Afton Waldron Reed, and his children Talysa Reed with grandson Ryder, Mitch Reed (Kassidee Gillman Reed), Anthony Reed and Grace Reed.
