Jason Evans

December 18, 1967 — September 29, 2024

With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Jason Ralph Evans. Jason passed away peacefully at his home while sleeping on September 29, 2024. He was 56 years old.

Jason was born December 18, 1967, in El Paso, Texas to his loving parents Melvin Thomas and Beverly Lucille (Morley) Evans.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, he embraced a faith that allowed him to forge lasting bonds and friendships with those he loved.

Jason attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. It was there that he developed a great passion for the performing arts. Throughout his life, he entertained many as he graced the stages of Southern Utah University, Scera Theater, Utah Valley University, Orem Hale Theater, and The Pleasant Grove Players.

He is preceded in joining the Lord by his Mother and Father, his brother Shawn Charles Evans, and his nephew Christopher Alexander Evans. Jason is also survived by many friends, nephews, nieces, cousins, and his two brothers Jack (Annabelle) Evans and Ronald (Carol) Evans.

Jason's body will be cremated, and his remains will be laid to rest next to his mother and father in the Pleasant Grove Utah Cemetery. All preparations will be handled by Anderson and Son's Mortuary in American Fork.

At Jason's request, there will be no public memorial. However, we invite all to celebrate his life and memory by choosing to gather as friends in his honor. And rather than sending flowers, this is also at Jason's request: Purchase tickets to your favorite play and attend with a loved one.
