Janis Pearl Olson Greenwood, 69, passed away January 27, 2016 in Harriman, Utah. She was born October 28, 1946 in Santa Monica, California to Calvin and Aline Leatham Olson. She married J. L. Greenwood May 27, 1967 in the LDS Temple in Los Angeles.
Janis enjoyed life and loved hosting parties. She was active in the LDS church and passionate about guiding young women at Girls Camp. Her public service history included the president of the Alliance of SACDS, president of the ACDA, and a member of the Board of Directors for the AADA. Her public efforts were recognized by the receipt of the national Thelma J. Neff Service Award, as well as being the 1st of the BK Spencer Leadership Award in California.
She is survived by her husband, children: Jennifer (James) Dalldorf, Jodi Greenwood, Jason T (Amber) Greenwood, Jessica Hernandez, grandchildren: Joanna, Julia, Calvin, Forrest, Liam and Abby, sisters: Signe, Ellina, L'or L, Mary Margreth, and brother Leon.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Joanna.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery following the services. A memorial service will be held February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m in the Freemont, California LDS
