James Grant

James Nash Grant, educator, master builder, WWII vet, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday afternoon, September 23, 2018. Son of Dr. James M. Grant and Merma Lyle (Nash) Grant. He was born January 28, 1924 in American Fork, Utah. He was their last surviving child of six. Sisters: Dorothy Wright, Merma Carlisle, Zola Anderson, Lora Shelby, brother: Dr. Mark Grant. He recently celebrated his 70th year of marriage with his sweetheart, Lyravin (Jensen) Grant. (married December 22, 1947). They are the parents of Nanette & (Mike Jones), Dr. James I. & (Julie Grant), Heather & (Mark Ashton) and Dr. Todd N. & (Kim Grant). They have 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cottonwood Heights 2 ^nd Ward, 6890 S 2220 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.  A viewing will be held Friday from 7 to 8:30 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church.  Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
