Jacob Irving

Bryan Jacob Irving, 28, took his life on August 28, 2024.

Jacob was born on August 7, 1996, to Bryan and Janeal in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jacob “Serving” Irving was a remarkable man whose ability to serve and show friendship to others made a significant impact on all who met him. His outgoing, inclusive personality and genuine love for all people made him unforgettable. Making everyone feel good, seen and appreciated was his gift. He greeted others with his signature bear hug and captivating smile calling them by name. He was kind, compassionate, and selfless, consistently making others feel valued and loved. He lifted the community by his humble but mighty strength through his ability to have fun and be adventurous as well as the genuine way he would offer support during difficult times by listening and relating.

Jacob was larger than life. He played football, rugby and the piano, was the Student Body President at Lone Peak High School (2013-2014), served an LDS mission to Peru, became a gifted Licensed Massage Therapist, successfully led the family business Tile Ram as the General Manager. He loved his family pets, island and country music, the outdoors and “Merica”. People were of highest importance to Jake. He poured his heart into his relationships throughout his life.

Despite facing personal struggles, Jacob’s legacy of kindness and his unwavering commitment to lift others continues to inspire those who know him. He was adored and will be missed by many. May we be inspired by his legacy of sharing love and light.

Jacob is survived by his parents Bryan and Janeal Irving, his wife Elizabeth Berrett Irving, three brothers and two sisters: Benjamin (Samantha) Irving, Josalyn Irving, Jenna (Eric) Jamison, Bradley Irving, Bryson Irving.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024 at 11:00 am held in the Alpine West Stake Center (327 S. Long Dr. Alpine Ut). A reception will be held from 9:30 am - 10:45 am prior to the funeral services.
