Jack LaMonte "Monte" Waldron passed away on April 18, 2024, in South Jordan, Utah. He was born on June 13, 1938, in Tooele, Utah, to John Thomas and Alma Jeanne Losee Waldron. Monte proudly served in the US Army and cherished his military service.
Monte married Elsie NaDene Hatch on August 31, 1974. He found joy in his many children; natural, step, and "adopted", as family was always at the core of his being. A long-time faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; God, Jesus Christ, and Church were of great significance in his life.
With two Bachelor's degrees in accounting and behavioral science, Monte pursued a career as a CPA and was known for his dedication and professionalism. A man of many talents, he also served in various church callings and found pleasure in joking and teasing those around him.
In his leisure time, Monte enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting and polishing rocks, reflecting a deep appreciation for the outdoors. His time as a guard at the state prison showcased his commitment to service and responsibility.
Monte is survived by his children, Debi (Brent) Buhler, Larry (Annette) Jenkins, Russell (Lynette) Jenkins, Lori (Jeff) Ostler, Tami (John) Pickett, Jackie (Jeff) Bailey, Mary (Tom) Wenner, David (Jennifer) Waldron, Sarah (Jacob) O'Mara, Rick (Devon) Waldron, Jerry (Elsie) Waldron, Marlene (Ryan) Sagendorf, and Ann (Carlos-deceased) Mondragon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a few great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Young and Kathy Waldron-Mansfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Alma Jeanne; beloved wife, NaDene; his daughter, Lisa (Rick-deceased) Goff; and his siblings, Nikki (Melvin) Bissegger and Randy Waldron.
A memorial service celebrating Monte's remarkable life will be held at the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel on May 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with a viewing before the service from 9:45-10:45 AM. Following the service, Monte will be laid to rest with his sweetheart in the Highland City Cemetery.
Monte's legacy of love, service, and dedication will forever be remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
