Horace Aston, passed away August 27, 2014 one month shy of his 92nd birthday, in American Fork Utah. Horace was born September 27, 1922 in Lindon, Utah to Shell and May Elizabeth (Noble) Aston. Horace married Wanda Sorenson on December 15, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Horace worked at Geneva Steel for 38 years and owned a logging/fencing business, "Astons Pole Yard" for 25 years. Horace also served in the US Army during WWII.
Survived by his wife of 70 years, Wanda, children: Michael (Debra), Paul (Patty) Julie and close friend Sheree Powell, eight grandsons and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 2, 2014 at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork at 1:00 pm, with a viewing from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45p.m. prior to the service.
