Henrietta Wise

Henrietta Wise, 92, passed away on April 13, 2023, in Alpine, Utah. Henrietta was born on May 22, 1930 in Collbran, Colorado to William Henry Shoup and Edna Mae Franklin Shoup. Henrietta married Clarence Allen Wise on December 25, 1948 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple in May of 1961.

Henrietta enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and being outside. She particularly enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved animals and her caring and nurturing personality motivated her to help raise many animals during her lifetime. Most importantly, Henrietta adored her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Henrietta had a determined spirit that helped her endure the hardships in her life. She was loved by all who knew her.

Henrietta is survived by her children; Sandra (Sam) Cooper, Sharon (Chad) Cottrell, Cary (Mindy) Wise; son-in-law, Thomas Heaps; 26 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. Henrietta is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wise; parents, William and Edna Shoup; son, Gary (Nila) Wise; daughter, Susan Marie Heaps; and brother, Ivan Shoup.

The service for Henrietta Wise will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM in the Mountainville 2nd Ward chapel, 165 North 100 East Alpine, Utah 84004.
