Hal Marvin Bennett, 60, passed away June 12, 2016. Born December 20, 1955 in Lehi, Utah, the son of John Wilcox and Vida Ashton Bennett. He married Jamie Suzanne Sorensen, May 21, 1977 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple in 1979.
Hal worked for Geneva Steel for 22 years and then worked for the Utah Department of Corrections for 12 years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and time on his horses. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them especially his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife, Jamie; children: Cory (Rebecca) Bennett; Jesse (Amy) Bennett; Camille (Chris) Harward; Chelsey (Zack) Kinder; 13 grandchildren; his siblings: Marcia Siebert; Les Bennett; and Marty Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son Tyler James Bennett.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon 12th Ward, 325 Canal Drive, Lindon. A Viewing will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial in the American Fork City Cemetery.
